Areas We Serve Around Detroit

Find out whether we cover your neighborhood, by community and by ZIP code.

Before you call any pest control company, it helps to know whether they come to your part of town. We work in Detroit and in nearby Dearborn and Hamtramck, in single-family houses, flats, duplexes, apartment buildings and small storefronts. The quickest way to be sure is your ZIP code, and if yours isn’t on our list, a phone call settles it.

Communities and ZIP Codes We Cover

These are the communities we work in, with the ZIP codes that belong to each. A ZIP code can cross a city line, so if yours sits right at the edge, it’s worth a quick call.

Detroit takes up most of the list. Dearborn sits to the west and southwest, and Hamtramck is nearly surrounded by Detroit, so a street can change cities from one block to the next without you noticing.

Older Homes Around Detroit and What They Invite

Much of the housing here is older: brick bungalows with full basements, two-family flats with an upper and a lower unit, and duplexes built close together on narrow lots. Houses like these are solid, but decades of settling leave small gaps around basement windows, under doors and where the siding meets the foundation. Those gaps matter most in autumn, when cold nights push mice indoors looking for warmth.

Homes built close together also share their problems. A wasp nest under a neighbor’s eaves can send wasps over the fence, and roaches in one half of a duplex rarely stay on their side. That’s not a reason to worry, only a reason to mention your neighbors’ trouble when you call, so treatment can be planned with the whole picture in mind.

Small storefronts along the main streets have their own patterns. Cardboard piling up in a back room, boxes arriving every week and a wall shared with the restaurant next door can each keep roaches or mice coming back, even after a good treatment.

Addresses Near the Line, Rentals and Shared Walls

What if my community isn’t listed?

Call and ask. We work in Detroit, Dearborn and Hamtramck, and the ZIP codes listed with each one are the ones we cover. If your address is somewhere else, it’s better to talk it over than to guess.

Have your street address handy when you call, along with a quick description of what you’re seeing.

Do you go to Highland Park or Ferndale?

Highland Park and Ferndale are close by, but they aren’t on our list of communities. Please call to ask before you book, and we’ll talk it through with you.

Do you work in flats, duplexes and apartment buildings?

Yes. We work in single-family houses, flats, duplexes, apartment buildings and small storefronts.

In a building with shared walls, the units around yours matter. Roaches and bed bugs move through wall voids, outlets and gaps around plumbing, and mice travel along pipes from one unit to the next. Treating one unit can still help, but results usually hold better when the building owner or manager knows and the neighboring units are checked too.

Is pest trouble different from one community to the next?

Not much. Mice, roaches, ants, bed bugs and wasps turn up in all three communities. What changes is the building: a brick bungalow with a basement, an upper flat and a corner storefront each give pests different ways in, which is why every job starts with a look at the building itself.

Can you come to a storefront or a building I manage?

Yes. Small storefronts and apartment buildings are part of our work. If you look after more than one unit, tell us which ones have had trouble and which share walls or plumbing with them. That helps plan where treatment needs to reach.

I rent. Can I still call?

Of course. In a rental, it’s worth checking with your landlord or building manager first, since getting into the basement, the trash room or a neighbor’s unit usually goes through them.

When you’re ready, Schedule a Visit and mention that it’s a rental.
